 'G.R.E.S. Unidos da Primavera' is Brisbane's first Samba School.
Founded in 2003, it quickly became one of Brisbane's most spectacular music groups, with up to 30 percussionists performing live at such landmark events as Gold Coast Indy, the Australia Day parade and the Queensland Multicultural Festival. We are always looking for even more percussionists and want YOU to join us! Percussion classes are held on a weekly basis and are open to everyone. No experience is necessary, and fun is guaranteed! Our goal is to have at least 100 drummers and dancers! |

This Friday 11 March 2011 we had a fantastic performance at Casablanca bar in Caxton Street, Paddington. In the spirit of carnaval we had a 10+ strong bateria playing its heart out outside on Caxton street, after which we all went down into the bar and performed a number of famous Brazilian songs to the delight of a mixed Brazilian / Aussie audience. They loved it! And so did we.

From February to June 2011, The Brisbane Samba School will help create some noise in and around Suncorp stadium during the home games of the Queensland Reds. We will play before the game on the Southern plaza outside, and during the game we will add to the atmosphere inside the stadium.
The game dates are:
- Sun 20 February Western Force 4:40pm
- Fri 18 March Melbourne Rebels 7:40pm
- Sat 26 March Cheetahs (SA) 2:40pm
- Sat 16 April Bulls 7:40pm
- Sat 23 April NSW Waratahs 7:40pm
- Fri 13 May Blues 7:40pm
- Sun 29 May Crusaders 4:10pm
- Sat 4 June Brumbies 7:40pm
